Artist Statement

In a loud, rushed, constantly moving culture, I create art for people to slow down and breathe. My work invites stillness, reflection, warmth, and emotional grounding. Every painting begins with a place I’ve personally stood.

I am a California native, born and raised, deeply influenced by the state’s open skies, shifting light, coastal air, and quiet backroads. I am endlessly drawn to landscapes and to the way light transforms ordinary moments into something quietly extraordinary. A quiet street. A stretch of water. A glowing sky. A familiar corner most people might pass without noticing. These are the spaces that stay with me.

I photograph these moments as I travel and move through the world, then reinterpret them in acrylic, softening edges, heightening light, and allowing the atmosphere to breathe, capturing not just how a place looks, but how it feels.

My paintings are rooted in real locations, but they live as gentle memories. They are meant to offer calm, comfort, and a sense of emotional grounding, small visual pauses that invite you to linger, exhale, and feel at home within the image.

These are real places, painted as quiet memory.

Art brings me deep personal joy, and it is my greatest hope to share that joy with others through work that feels familiar, warm, and quietly restorative.
